Welcome to our world. A journey through the rhythms of the Middle East, Africa, Cuba, Trinidad, Jazz and more. Aron Kaufman and Paul Vornhagen first met in the early 1980s as members of the iconic Ann Arbor band, the Lunar Glee Club, performing all original compositions with world rhythms. In 2018, Aron acquired a highly resonant instrument called the "RAV Drum" that inspired a collaboration as a woodwind/drum duo. Without chordal instruments to define harmonics, a freedom to explore the interplay of rhythm and melody ensued. Much of what you will hear in this recording are spontaneous improvisations in the studio as well as our written compositions.
